Description: Overlooking the Root River and right next to the Scenic Bike Trail. Because the ambiance is so great this is a very relaxing atmosphere. Riverside provides a full bar menu specializing in our martini's and house in-fused Vodka for our Bloody Mary's. All of our food is house-made and we offer a very diversified menu. Deep fat fried foods are not an option as we choose to stay on the healthy side. When in season we use fresh vegetables from our gardens and locally that are chemical free or organic. There are vegetarian options and of course if you have special needs diet be sure to talk with us as it is easy to prepare something that may not be on the menu.

Only poor experience we had during our whole Lanesboro weekend. The structure is not that nice, except that it sits along the river. The waitress seemed very unhappy to be working. The food was average at best, and way overpriced. And their tap lines for beer desperatly need cleaning. save your money for fine dining at Intermission or wander up the street to Pedal Pushers for better fare.

Perhaps they were understaffed that night as it was Homecoming, but the one waitress we had should consider another field such as a meter reader...or something along those lines which can better utilize her skills in bossiness and lack of service. It's really too bad as this restaurant had a great ambiance and potentially fun experience.

This restaurant has a good cook and fresh food. The quality and selection were impressive for a small town. I went on a summer night, and enjoyed the ambiance. I was seated outside with a view of the river. They have a good cocktail menu, but did run out of a special.

The food was delicious, but the service left a bit to be desired. Took way too long to be acknowledged by our server who seemed to have too many tables to handle. But we were not in a hurry so we were fine, but anyone who needed to eat and be somewhere later couldn't have waited as long as we did.

We liked the outdoor dining and the selection of wine/martinis. The food was average compared to my previous visit 5 years ago. I had the shrimp avocado salad and my friend had raspberry pork chops. Service was a little slow but not a big issue. I was expecting more in the quality of the food based on previous experience but i knew the chef had changed since my last visit.
