“A great day out.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 21, 2013

Lots to see and enjoy. The drive around the park is will worth the time and the many side hikes are great. Visit the fire tower and the large Red pines. Bring your camera and extra batteries. In summer - bug dope will make hiking in the cool wood a quality experience.

“Locals love Itasca too”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 15, 2013

We live about 20 minutes from Itasca, but still visit it every year. My husband fishes there. Often we bike the trails or canoe. The naturalists have interesting nature walks.

“1/2 million visitors can't be wrong”

Don't forget the other seasons, as fall is spectacular. If you like winter sports, this is also a mecca if there is enough snow.

“A great place to visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 19, 2012

We first visited the park last year, now everytime we have out of state company visit us, this trip is a must on our to-do list. The visitor center is beautiful and very informative and the staff are very friendly. We love the little eating place too,( after the hike you work up an appetite). The park is very beautiful and kept up well, and it's always amazing to walk across the mighty Mississippi. We have a great experience every time we visit!

“Lovely Old Park”

Our favorite hikes were Nicollet Trail and Bohall Trail, but no trip to Itasca would be complete until you've hiked up the Aiton Heights Tower and seen the Headwaters of the Mississippi River.
