Stopped in for lunch time. When you enter go to the window and order your food then sit down, they bring it out when it's done. Went tot he bar ordered up a Diet Peps $ 1.75 came in a can way cool. Ordered up the Hamburger with fried Onions and Pickles $ 6.95 (very large portion glad I didn't order French Fries or Onion Rings) and that is exactly how it came, cooked perfectly. Perfect!

Another fine time at Twinnie. It's Lake Elmo's local watering hole. Step back in time. It's worth the trip.

My husband and I had a meeting down in the Lake Elmo area yesterday.

He "found" this bar/restaurant within walking distance of our planned meeting area.

Walking in I was at first in doubt because it was the kind of bar that when you walk in... everyone looks at you like, who the heck are these people!

There are no waitresses so you need to walk up to the bar and place your drink order. Same with the food.

You need to walk up to a "food window" and place your order. The selection of foods to order are above the window.

We decided on the broasted chicken special. It had three pieces of broasted chicken, Texas toast, baked beans, Texas fries and Cole slaw.

It is brought back to your table by the person at the food counter. To my amazement, the food was very good. Broasted chicken was fully cooked but was not dry. I loved the baked beans, but all of the food was very good.

Only reason for not giving it a five star is that no one tells you how their "system" of ordering works.

Great local bar/restaurant for good food and drinks. Casual atmosphere and televisions to view. Hamburgers and daily specials are always tasty, good spot for a quick lunch.

Stopped for a quick bite and enjoyed the hamburgers and fries! Chili isn't bad either - nice apps too and if you like cheese curds be sure to try them!
