“Best Value in Lake City”
Reviewed July 15, 2013

The food was very good, but the acoustics were terrible. A group of 3 could not carry on a conversation due to the ambient noise..

“Unexpected surprise”
Reviewed July 14, 2013

My wife and I, came from Red Wing, MN (17 miles north) to visit the tall ships visiting
Lake City on 7-14-13. Got stuck waiting for a train crossing and decided to stop at the
old Train Depot for a drink. Discovered a fantastic menu to go with our gin&tonics. I had
the Ahi tuna platter, my wife had the sampler platter. We are not big eaters so we each
had half our meal and enjoyed the other half later in the evening. Wonderful and helpful
server. Took copies of your menus for our friends and relatives. Thank you for a new
experience.

“A nice restaurant, off the "strip".”
Reviewed July 14, 2013

Tucked back in a somewhat residential area, this place was busy! We opted to sit outside. There was plenty of shade on the small patio as it was covered with several umbrellas, and quieter than inside....until the train was there. But that just added to the atmosphere since it is named the Railhouse grill. The service was good, and the food was good, we had the walleye fritters and a pizza. The pizza was tasty, though the crust could have been a little crisper. The fritters were tasty and I liked the sauce. Price was average. We would go here again.

Extremely good food and service. I have eaten here a couple of times, and have yet to be any sort of disappointed. You will enjoy this place!!

“My vote as best in Lake City”
Reviewed May 27, 2013 via mobile

As new residents, we have made the rounds of places to eat in Lake City- this is the best by far. The service is attentive! It does tend to get noisy but that's because it's usually full during dinner, a sign of good food. We enjoy the homemade soups, pan seared walleye, and chicken salad. Wood fired pizzas are also good. Don't expect fast delivery of your food-you will have a wait most weekends for your entree. But it is worth it.
