The Hastings Inn is a run down property which bills itself as the "least expensive" motel in Hastings. The hallways had a very strong musty smell which luckily did not carry over to any extent into the rooms. The door lock to our room was a problem and took some finagling every time we tried to open the door. The room was adequately clean although there was some dust that could have and should have been seen and cleaned off. The bathroom is tiny with no place to put things except on the toilet tank top. The linens were clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. The air conditioner/heater was mildly to moderately noisy. This was not a problem for me but it might be for others. The only "amenities" are coffee in the motel office (it can hardly be called a lobby) and cable TV. If money is an issue or if you are male and really don't care, this would be a very acceptable place to stay.
