We stayed here this weekend, it was lovely, a nice bolt hole away from life, 3 days of relaxation. I would recommend this to everyone, all the extra bits were fantastic from the luxury bubble bath to the pantry. Thank you to Beth and Becs. We are keen to try Becs next time.
We stayed in Bec for my birthday in January 2019 and it was such a perfect birthday treat. This is our second visit to Bec because we enjoyed it so much last time and this certainly will not be our last time either. We loved staying during the winter because we can take advantage of the warm hot tub in the chilly dark evenings and then come inside to get cosy in front of the log fire...what more could you want from a romantic break?
The fridge, freezer and cupboards are stocked with lovely treats, all at reasonable prices, so there is no need to keep rushing out to the shops. There is a great range of alcohol too and you even get a free tipple of gin and whiskey to enjoy. Along with the free gin and whiskey, you also get free staple items such as bread, milk, cereals and items to make a full English breakfast.
It truly is worth every single penny and we will most certainly be back....maybe during the summer so we can see Bec at a different time of year and take advantage of the lovely gardens.
Thank you Vicky and Chris, you really do make this experience so special with your extra touches, personal approach and nothing ever seems too much to ask.
My husband and I stayed here over Christmas and we had an amazing time! It is such a nice place to spend quality time together as a couple. The facilities were great, especially the log burner, hot tub, the amazing bathroom, the projector screen and the well stocked pantry - we enjoyed the drams of whisky and gin! Lovely place in the countryside - they really have thought of everything! We will definitely visit again!
We stayed here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it certainly didn't disappoint. We stayed in Bethnal and were greeted by a luxurious room with everything you could possibly want. The welcome sign in the carport was a lovely touch as were the records and record player inside. The hot tub was amazing with stunning views and the outdoor speaker meant we could listen to music whilst relaxing outside. There are lots of lovely little touches that made our stay really easy and the food was really good quality. We had a good night's sleep in the huge bed and the late check out time was really helpful too. It really is set up to help you relax and unwind and I'd thoroughly recommend it to anyone.
From the moment we pulled into Bethnal and Bec we knew we were going to have a blissful break. We stayed in the gorgeous Bec, greeted by a welcome note, fresh bread, bacon and eggs and ( complimentary) decanters of gin or vodka, the weary weight of the world began to lift from our shoulders! Their back garden is the most stunning endless vision of meadows. We star gazed from the hot tub, watched Netflix on the huge screen from the bed whilst eating bacon butties and generally unwound from the responsibilities of parenthood and work. Vicky and Chris could not have been more helpful, they recommended a wonderful pub The Bull for Sunday lunch. Of which was one of the most delicious I have eaten in some time! This pub is a few mins from the property. There are many fab walks, pubs etc- of which Vicky and Chris have a wealth of knowledge- but we couldn't tear ourselves away from the record player, Netflix and hot tub! We shall be returning! And are recommending to all of our friends. Thank you so much Vicky and Chris for making our stay a memorable one.
We recently had a relaxing, romantic weekend away at Bethnal & Bec and it was everything we could have hoped for!
A surprise bottle of fizz was chilled and begging be opened on our arrival, along with a lovely welcome note and some delicious macarons which had all thoughtfully been provided by the hosts, Vicky and Chris, which was a lovely start to our stay. There is a fully-stocked freezer of food and a fridge full of alcohol and soft drinks (it operates on an honesty system), as well as plenty of interesting snacks. The weather was cold so we opted for a curry takeaway from the supplied list of recommended local restaurants and it was delicious. The fresh breakfast goodies that are supplied free of charge were a welcome and generous touch and it was great to have brunch in the comfort of our cosy room.
We stayed in Bec and LOVED watching films in bed on the cinema screen, relaxing in the double bath with a garden view and really made the most of relaxing on a rainy day in the comfort of our spacious room. There is also a hot tub and a lovely, private garden area overlooking the wild flower meadow and the orchard. Country walks, local pubs, a farm shop and interesting towns are all in close proximity.
It was obvious that a lot of thought and planning has gone into creating and decorating Bethnal & Bec and I would highly recommend it - you won’t leave disappointed!
My wife booked a two night stay here during October, I was a little sceptical as I’d always done city breaks and this was out my comfort zone but as soon a we got there those concerns quickly disappeared. We met Chris on arrival who was only to happy to help us in to our room.
We stayed in Bec and had to call on Chris again when I couldn’t get the cinema screen to work ( again only to happy to come and sort it ) the cinema screen, with Netflix, is great, the bathtub is just amazing and the hot tub is next level!! Room was very nice and cosy always warm and the welcome card was a lovely touch. We also added the pizza experience which was great fun to do and very simple.
This was a perfect little break for the two of us to just unwind and have some us time together and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a chilled relaxing break
