Got a late start on finding lodging for the week of the 4th of July. This property was one of the very few that was still available. Was skeptical and there were no reviews for guidance. Never actually talked to the owner/contact person (Joe) but he was very responsive thru email communication. Upon arrival it was evident that the pictures didn't do justice and that was a welcome surprise.
We were 4 adults and two young children (5 and under). We were told to bring sheets and towels. There is no air conditioning so we brought a bunch of fans. Not needed as there are ceiling fans everywhere. Kitchen utensils were plentiful. There is a separate tap for drinking water which made us wonder about washing dishes, hands etc. We also brought bag chairs but there was plenty of outdoor chairs provided for sitting around the fire. Also the deck was perfect for most of our meals. The gas grill works great. There is a nice dock that the kids caught many fish from. No beach or swimming area. There are neighbors but not right on top. About 15 minute drive for supplies. Not a whole lot of activity on the water except for fishing boats while we were there. And a few loons.
We could have used another bathroom. If we would have been 4 adults and no kids this property have gotten five stars from me. From what I could tell from researching other rentals this one is priced very reasonably.
