We were delightfully surprised by this unassuming place in a small, provincial town in Northern MN. Top notch service, although slow due to a busy night, and all around excellence across three plates: a toddler gobbled down his burger and fries, while we had a lobster pasta dish and the mixed greens, apples, walnut & chicken salad. Both were fantastic. The indoor seating looked dark so we grabbed a seat on the patio, which is somehow more charming than it ought to be (since it overlooks a parking lot). The clientele was surprisingly heterogeneous too: we heard several languages and saw a good variety of people. Nice ambiance all around. We felt like it was high quality food at a reasonable price and were surprised to find this type of place in Rapids. We'll be back.

We stopped in Grand Rapids on our way to Montana. The motel clerk gave us a discount coupon so we decided to give it a try. It is more upscale than I expected from the name. The service was OK. The server was cordial and efficient, but things moved slowly (not a problem and probably would have been about right if we had been part of a group).

The meal was excellent. My wife had the walleye and said it was well prepared and flavorful and the portion was as much as she wanted. I had the ribs and spinach/coconut soup. I can't remember ever having a meatier slab of baby back ribs. The were fork tender, as you would expect. The soup could have had a little more spinach but, the coconut flavor was everything I hoped it would be.

My favorite dining establishment in Grand Rapids. I have never been disappointed with the food or service. Dining on the patio is a plus. The food is great, the servers are personable without being overbearing. Do not miss ordering the wild rice cakes on the appetizer menu, the dill sauce is divine. The house wine is delicious, I'm partial to the Cabernet or Pinot noir. This experience is classy but not pretentious. Smiles all around!

We had a great meal with very good service. We split the walleye cakes which were subtle enough to highlight the walleye without being boring. The coconut spinach soup was tasty (though a little lime juice would brighten the flavors). My pan seared walleye was nicely prepared as were the fresh carrots and fingerling potatoes. Overall a nice change from much of the overy fried food in the Grand Rapids area.
