“A local must-see”
Reviewed July 28, 2013

This place is terrific. It includes a full-scale replica of a logging camp, circa 1900, along with an excellent and educational visitor's center. Learn all about the history of the North Woods!

“Wonderful edutainment”

really enjoyed climbing the fire tower and learning from the camp cookie, backsmith and store hands. It outpaced my expectations. Very pretty grounds for walking too. A Grand Rapids must see.

“Fun and Interactive”
Reviewed June 10, 2013

It's been a while since I was here, but it was a great experience. We took our students from school there for a field trip and it was very well organized and run. The kids had a blast and learned a lot.

“Attraction”
Reviewed December 22, 2012

Nice attraction especially for families with children. Also people who have been associated with logging. There is adequate parking, but allow adequate time to take it all in.
