Wow! What a beautiful place! We were in Alexandria for a family wedding on 7.27.19. We traveled to Alexandria from our home four hours away.
First of all the resort is just lovely. The grounds are very well maintained with two rooms having a patio walk-out and the other two rooms (upper floor) have a beautiful view of the grounds. We stayed in an upper floor room. We did enjoy the back patio though, as our cousins stayed in one of the lower rooms. Each room has a private bath and air conditioning, which we used since it was a bit warm. There are a few layered decks on the back of the resort, and on the ground level a firepit. The breakfasts we had both mornings were nothing short of a culinary meal. Wonderful French toast "crown" and country sausage on morning one and morning two we enjoyed quiche. Fruit, homemade muffins, coffee and juice also.
The hosts are pleasant and gave us a tour and then we didn't see them until breakfast although they are handy to ask a question to if needed.
This resort is located NW of Alexandria a few, easy travel miles. The last mile is on gravel; beautiful scenery and lots of trees.
We would highly recommend this B & B Resort to anyone. We sure hope to go back!More
