This is a true gem. All of their food is excellent. Big portions with great flavor. Go there on Sunday Mornings for an Acoustic Brunch where local performers play music while you enjoy a great breakfast. If you like Bloody Mary's, they do a Bloody Mary Bar on Sunday mornings.

The buffalo shrimp appetizer has 6 large, tender shrimp skewered, grilled and covered in a spicy buffalo sauce. The pretzels with cheese dip appetizer was also very good. Each table gets bread with cinnamon butter. Nice cocktail selection and several beers on tap. Grilled salmon can come with different options, the maple glazed was very good. Tavern potatoes side dish was yummy. Salads had fresh ingredients and tasty dressings. Boomtown poutine was good, but a huge serving (consider sharing). Parmesan shrimp pasta dish was delicious; very filling. Service was good. At 6:30 pm on a Friday night, restaurant was busy, but no wait. There are a few outside tables and tables in the bar area in addition to the large seating area. Our bill was $108 which included two beers, one blood orange margarita, two appetizers and four entrees. Located just down the street from the American Hockey Hall of Fame.

Well, if it wasn't for the great scotch egg I would have rated it much lower.
Steak was way over cooked. Service was slow with not a full house. Waited 5 plus minutes to place my drink order then longer to get my drink (soft drink) not a bar backup problem. Maybe I got there on the wrong day. But the scotch egg was great.

The restaurant atmosphere was nice. Went during the week and it wasn't very busy. Service was great, wait time was quick. My husband had ribs and they were good but not a lot of ribs (for a half rack). I tried the wild rice burger which I've never tried it was ok but not something I would order again. French fries were very good. Prices felt a bit high for the area but it is what is when you go out to eat.
