“Wonderful information about Black Bears”
Reviewed August 2, 2013

So much to read, and so many videos to watch. A whole lot of information at this place.
One draw back for the youngsters is that you don't always see the bears. They are out in their habitat and don't always come in for viewing. But they do have a wonderful hands on area for the little 'cubs' as they call it.
So many stuffed bears of all kinds, that were very interesting and explained well.

“Excellent information on bears”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

I visited here with my family including two children ages 3 and 5. It was recommended to us to get there between 1 and 3 pm as the youngest bear, Lucky, gets up around that time. They also had an enrichment feeding at 2 pm that day. They are adding on and the observation deck is now accessible from the inside. There is a lot of information on all kinds of bears and they have rolling footage throughout. There is a Cub area for the kids to play in and a great alternative to being inside a cabin on a rainy day. There is also a theatre with a continuous rolling movie of Lynn Rogers with the bears that is very fascinating. The admission is a little steep but worth it especially if other activities are not possible due to poor weather.

“Life affirming, fabulous and in need of our help!”
Reviewed July 24, 2013

The research done by this organization is invaluable and phenomenal. If you go, sign up for a photo shoot session, so you can spend time near Honey, Lucky and Ted. Ted licked my cheek with his 12 inch tongue, and can still feel it days later, phenomenal experience. So much to learn here. Morning and evening is better for seeing bears from the deck.

“Would've like to have seen more”
Reviewed July 14, 2013

Went there when the observation deck was being worked on so didn't get to use that and the bears weren't around the first time we went. When we went back later in the day the bear was there then but was just lying around panting. Can't blame it because it was hot out so not really anybody's fault. Just wanted to see more.

“Very Cool”

You will learn a lot about bears at the center. Make sure that you pick up the questionair that is availible when you enter. It helpsyou get search out and learn some very good information. Did not have much for young children so very hard to keep him entertained but great for older kids and adults.
