“A bit of Heaven in a Concrete, Corporate Jungle”
Reviewed November 27, 2013

A "thoughtful" interpretation on Nature smack in the middle of a Concrete, Industrial Park.

Wonderful admixture of "things to do" , "things to eat", things to see" all in one very manageable space.

Nicely done Edina; and to think this was once a gravel pit.

“fun for skating or pictures w family”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

A great place to bring family for graduation, ice skating in winter or for photos. Easy access to local malls and food plus fun for water, ice and farmers markets in summer

“Beautiful park within a suburb”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

The other night we stopped at Pinstripes, a restaurant that overlooks Centennial Lakes. There was a bon fire going on the terrace and the moon reflected off the lake. The park house rents ice skates but the lake wasn't frozen yet. The surrounding area is just beautiful. There's a combination of outdoor activities year round, sprinkled among shopping and housing. It's a place that offers many things to do. As an Edina resident, we go there often. We especially love the art fair in the fall.

“Well-maintained and beautiful lake!”
Reviewed September 18, 2013

Edina is a beautiful city and Centennial lake adds to the beauty of the place. Its just around 2 miles from the Southdale Mall, a skip and hop from the Super Target but mind you this is a big lake around 10 acre lake with a well-maintained garden. The paved pathway is also well-kept and maintained so joggers and walkers find it a nice place to exercise along the 2 mile(guessing) pathway. There is music playing through out the park for most part of the day so it kinda puts you in a good mood. There are many activities too like paddle boat, fishing, mini golf and some lawn games so its a nice place to hang out with friends and family. There is a Farmer's Market every thursday afternoon along the walkways and thursday evening there is movie in the amphitheater.
Quite a lot of eat-outs,art supply stores, chuckecheese, pretty coffee places around the lake (most of them have an entrance from the lakeside pathway).
In winters you can ice skate on this lake and sip on hot chocolate. They conduct a lot of events here through out the year and its a fun place to spend sometime. I had the privilege of staying right across this lake and I have had so much fun playing lawn games and golf, jogging, sitting on the swings near the lake watching the ducks and eating yum baked goods from the farmer's market , enjoying fresh kettle corn watching movie and sipping on hot chocolate on after a walk to the lake on a cold day at Pavilion. They even had a separate pathway running under the main-road from Adam's Park for easier access.
A must visit if you are in the vicinity.
