“Great place to fish”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 2, 2013

My boys love to fish, literally pulling fish out one after another! The music is really nice too, just park in the parking garage and follow the path. The fish like worms, they caught tiny fish and some larger sunfish. Had a lot of fun just cathing and releasing.

“An Oasis in the City”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 1, 2013

This park has walkways that can be limited or lengthy depending on ones' needs. Piped in music keeps "riff/raff" away and cultured participants welcome. There are eateries and businesses close if those are needs. There are concerts in the park that have the feel of Americana.

“centennial Lakes Park”

You can spend the better part of the day here boating, walking, playing putt golf, bowling, lawn bowling, excellent eating places surround the park--bocce ball--music along pathway-----every day scheduled entertainment---a true find in an urban area just off a major highway *494)---very safe walking at night-river to follow and connect two large bodies of water where you can watch people sail their boats and people fish---in summer there are concerts on sundays and Wednesday night and late wednesday night movies--great in winter too with the ice skating and plastic sled sliding--outdoor fire pits for sitting around for drinking hot coco -patroled day and night for walkers--pathway from this park to major shopping area like Southdale Edina has mixed the best of the best and it is a closely guarded secret yet to be explored. the farmers market in spring summer fall is great--the pavillion offers a lot of shows and can be used for parties weddings etc---

“Walk about the Water”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2013

This is a wonderful full circle experience that includes labyrinth, sculpture, native plantings, groomed trails, full of all ages of people and families, music piped into speakers, meandering river offering pedestrians a safe walking venue!
Centennial Lakes Park is a wonderful collaboration of city, park and businesses as they create a continuum of outdoor space that flows effortlessly as a river. This is a destination place for wedding photography as well as weddings (amphitheater and Centrum building receptions). This is a photographer's dream as the lighting and plantings offer many nooks and crannies for a casual pose for graduation or family pics. For the casual walker, you will be surprised at the many glimpses into the best of the season. The landscape is full of water, fountains, boulders, gravel, boardwalks, bridges, flowers, birds, miniature sailboats enhanced by the sky and lighting.
