“Overpriced for what you get.”
Reviewed December 18, 2011

This is your basic burger place, with nothing but burgers on the menu. Not necessarily a bad thing. Burgers are ok but the prices are outrageous. Double bacon cheese burger ($9!), 2 SMALL beers and a small plate of frozen fries for $17?? ReallY? Ike's downtown or Lyon's Tap has far superior burgers and fries for less, and no mini-sized beer glasses in sight. This place must subsist on history alone and old-tyme repeat customers - they will start losing customers on price and content once 5 Guys opens up in EP with better burgers.

“Excellent - Never Disappointed”
Reviewed November 19, 2011

I had lunch with a family member on Thursday, November 17, 2011 and knew there would be no surprises.

Greeted with a warm welcome and a smile (there are far more expensive restaurants in Eden Prairie that could learn a lesson from Lions Tap). The wait staff is always friendly, the service was fast and the food consistently good. It was a very busy lunch time but they still got the food out in a very reasonable amount of time, and it was hot.

The menu isn't fancy but if a great burger and fries are what you're in the mood for, this is one of the best choices you can make. It's a winner in my book!

“The best hamburger on this planet (not sure about other planets...)”
Reviewed November 16, 2011

Any time I'm somewhere else having a hamburger, even if it's a pretty good burger, I'll invariably say "it's not as good as Lion's Tap". The menu is pretty simple: burgers and fries - and they have mastered both. My favorite is the single burger with fried onions. When I say "fried onions", I mean perfectly carmelized. With just the onions and the awesome seasonings, it is truely the perfect burger. They'll prepare it any way you like, from rare and bloody (which is my choice) to well done. My wife eats them medium-well and she attests that they are more tasty than any other she has had. If you are the type who smothers your burger with lettuce, tomatoes and gobs of mustard and ketchup (all of which you may have if that is your choice), then you may not fully "get" what I'm raving about. For the purist, this is THE burger. Oh, and the fries are awesome. Always hot, fresh and cooked perfectly.

“A MUST to stop at during every visit to Minnesota”
Reviewed November 15, 2011

Wonderful burgers. I keep trying to find a burger I want to eat more than these. I can't find one. I only get the opportunity to eat a Lion's Tap burger about once a year when I visit family. They are so juicy. Lion's Tap is not upscale, but never claims to be. It would actually be a disappointment if it changed at all. They started selling their own brand of beer in the last few years. It's worth a try, but not spectacular beer. However, it all boils down to the burgers. You should go for the burgers alone!

“Heavy Handed Seasoning”
Reviewed September 17, 2011

I went Saturday 17, 2011. I had a single cheeseburger and fries. First, the fries are obviously mass produced frozen crinkle cut. Nothing that deserve merit here. The burger was dripping blood and grease. The restaurant makes a big deal out of selling their packaged seasoning. Well, they must want to make a statement about that because the cook uses a very heavy hand - way too salty!!! Almost to the point of being inedible. No reason for me to ever go back.
