Don't mistake this for a newer property w/ larger spaces.

This property looked kept but tired. Guest rooms are small. Staff's attitude was absolute indifference - - from the front desk to the breakfast support. Sorry for interrupting your phone call.

Not worth the $250/night.

Sorry Marriott.

2 Adults, 2 Teems... Hotel was clean. Staff were mixed (better Thurs) worse Fri. Brought us extra pillows right away. Beds were VERY hard. A/C-Fan was loud. Near the airport so noisy (unless you like military jet noise). Pool was smaller and quite cold, hot tub was very hot and smaller also, pool area was clean.

Fairly loud, and floors shook/moved. Overall not bad but not great either.

Room Tip: Get top floor so no one is dancing on your head. Ask for LOTS of extra pillows unless you like a very hard bed.

We spent the night at this hotel on our way to Canada. There was a marathon going on in Duluth, and our decision to stay overnite in Duluth was a last minute decision, so it was difficult to get reservations anywhere. First of all, this hotel is expensive for what you get. It was over $200 for the nite. If you are trailering a boat, there is no convenient parking. In fact, you should not even drive up to the front of the hotel with your trailer because the only way out is to back up across the parking lot and down a hill into traffic.(making a three point turn with your trailer in the parking lot is practically impossible) The parking lot has only one entrance. Park in the lot that belongs to the mall below the hotel. (the Fairfield is at the top of a hill) Then you will need to climb up the grass slope to the hotel's entrance or walk to the sidewalk below the hotel and climb up the hill to the entrance. If one is arriving with just a vehicle, you will not have this problem, but, the parking lot is small; which may result in one having to park in the mall parking lot anyway. Restaurants nearby are Buffalo Wild Wings, Perkins and a Starbucks that does not open early in the morning on a Saturday. We had breakfast at Perkins, it was good. The room was comfortable and clean, the beds were fine. The hotel was quiet and we slept well. Their only detriments are really their location and the price.

We have used the Fairfield Inn for various business meeting. They are always great to deal with. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The hotel is clean recently remodeled. The manager is great about getting out into the community and building relationships. Great hotel!

The rooms are redone and have great bedding. They have squeezed in a new fitness room that has two treads, an elliptical and free weights. Fitness room could be a little bigger but it is better than nothing.

Breakfast is typical Fairfield Inn fare.

Satisfied. Will be back.
