Where to start at this little gem...we like the fun decor-vibrant paint on the walls, local art on display and for sale, got a kick out of the restroom (includes a co-ed, circular fountain-type sink to wash your hands after using the facilities- disarming at first but the murals on the walls direct men and women accordingly--you'll see what I mean when you get there, it's clever- no worries...the actual area to 'do your business' is separated by sex as usual.) Live entertainment on weekends, especially the school season when college is back in session. Staff are always warm, inviting, and helpful. Menu selection is fantastic- mixing and pairing surprising and inventive ingredients. Nearly all menu items are gluten free or can be made gluten free on request (also lots of vegan selections). The breakfasts are wonderful. The apple quinoa cakes (not gluten free) with crumbled walnuts, drizzled with coconut syrup were a moist and autumnal delight! My fiance opted for a skillet (hash browns, eggs, sausage, seasonings, cheese with a toasted gluten free english muffin and jam); he said it was PERFECT and felt that he had to be rolled out the door upon leaving. I've also tried their Huevos Lucéros--(per the menu description...'Corn tortillas served on a bed of fresh spinach with black beans and salsa, Spanish quinoa, and over easy eggs. Topped with fresh cilantro, avocado, and a sprinkle of feta cheese'). Let me just say that this is by far, the tastiest concoction I've had for breakfast- like a farmer's market in your mouth! I love their fresh ingredients and smart combinations. We've been here many times for breakfast and dinner and it's great EVERY time. I hear it's splendid for brunch on weekends but VERY busy- so be ready for that. None the less, it's a favorite of ours and we know that Brent's gluten allergy will not be an issue here! We are hooked!
