Saw this place was on FN's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and had to try it. Awesome food - local, organic, and absolutely delicious. My husband had the Wrenshall Pasty and I had the Puerco Fundido. Their mint lemonade is fresh squeezed - the lemonade I've ever had. This is the restaurant to visit when in Duluth.

We stopped here on a cross country trip from Montana to Boston. This was THE high dining point of our trip. The bison burgers were amazing but not as amazing as the When Pigs Fly sundae. Everything was so tasty, we spent the night in Duluth and came back for breakfast the next day. Pancakes with homemade berry sauce, hash & eggs, french toast - everything was cooked to perfection and very yummy. They have their own garden growing in the parking lot out back. The service was fabulous and their cookbook came home with me!

I love this place. The food is delish, the portions are good, and they have both healthy and decadent options. Plus I love that they display local artists on the walls. Keep up the good work Duluth Grill!

Stopped for dinner. Came in 30 minutes before close and was still promptly seated. Friendly staff that was very quick. Settled on the pasty and it was awesome! Came with coleslaw. I never eat coleslaw, but this was good! Traveled up from Illinois and wish this was by us!

The Duluth Grill is one of those places that you remembered going to 20 years ago, on a trip up north with the kids.

But you've heard that it has new ownership, and they grow their own veggies, while keeping a lot of the recipes that made them such a good family style restaurant in the first place.

So, you stop there for dinner, and are so very glad you did. The pasty your husband gets is just as delicious as it was years ago. And you get an amazing stew with a lamb shank, and realize that they really have been able to marry the old and the new, successfully.

No liquor license, but who cares? The food is wonderful!
