Description: A visit to this exciting Tex Mex atmosphere isn't dangerous, but it's a whole lot spicier than your everyday life. It's not too hot, mind ya, it's just full of flavor! Little Angie's Cantina is the kind of place where the food is so fresh it's sizzling at your table. Original artifacts from the Southwest create a real wild West setting right here in the Midwest. At Little Angie's it's okay to laugh out loud and fill up on our fresh homemade salsa and corn tortilla chips. Signature items include: sizzling hot fajitas on cast iron skillets; fresh made burritos, enchiladas, and chimichangas all served with a varieties of moles and sauces, distinctly Little Angie's recipes; a wall of tequila and hundreds of combinations of house-specialty margaritas and mojitos. Little Angie's is the place to enjoy a little more than you ought to. Break the rules, so to speak. Seasonal deck dining overlooking beautiful Lake Superior in Canal Park, Minnesota.

I only eat a regular menu item here about once or twice a year - usually fajitas. They're okay, but not outstanding. The reason I go to Little Angie's several times a year is to have the Nachos. Chicken nachos with black beans, to be precise. The half order is more than one person can/should eat. If I'm with someone else, I'll usually get the full order just to make sure we don't run out - and so we can cherry pick the best stuff off the heaping plate of food.

I will often go to a Mexican restaurant just to have chips and salsa and a beer or two, but not at Little Angie's. Their salsa is a pico-type, which is not my favorite and definitely not something I would choose just to have as a topping with chips. But the pico works fine with the nachos.

They have Dos Equis amber on tap. Add a lime to the XX and dig into the nachos.

Try the sandwiches, super. Don't be afraid of the small size of the restaurant, the food is giant and well worth the price.

The worst Margaritas...hands down for the price. We ordered Patron Silver Margs, they were so weak you could not taste the tequila. When I reported this to the Waiter he was unconcerned and stated that in the larger Margaritas they use more mix? Doesn't that translate to more mix and more tequila for a larger size drink? Not here.Just more sour bottled mix. The shredded beef chimichanga was pre fried days ahead and microwaved to order, not crsipy or fresh. in fact, the tortilla inside was so soggy it was doughy. Terrible rice made with tomato paste from a can. Refried beans were the best part of the meal..hard to screw mashed beans up I guess. This was one of the poorest Mexican meals we have ever had. The Server could have cared less. We tried to report our experience to a manager when leaving and couldn't find anyone. Try the Mexican place in the Fitgers complex when in Duluth instead of this crappy place. What a dissapointment.

Stopped in here on a snowy evening and had the best drink ever called Sweetart! Great food, great service, reasonable pricing. Always seems busy so must be a local favorite too :)

This place can be a fun change in a sea of chain restaurants. We like to sit on the deck when weather permits, which is rare in Duluth. The food is pretty tasty but nothing amazing. They charge for chips and salsa which is genius for them but a little off putting when every Mexican place on earth just gives them to you. I would say it is out number one choice for the canal park area.
