Description: Classic Italian dinning and Wine Spectator award winner since 1999 Bellisio’s restaurant conjures up images of highly skilled chefs, fine wines, superb service, and fresh Italian food. And while all this is most certainly true, one must not forget that Bellisio’s is above all an experience. An exceptional dining experience, to be precise, but one that takes place in a casual atmosphere reminiscent of the quaint eateries and wine bars of the Italian countryside. And no wonder. The experience is fashioned after the small village of Bellisio, Italy, home to the owner’s ancestry. Imported direct from Italy are the beauty, comfort, romance, and glorious recipes. Specialty dishes include perfectly prepared pasta dishes using the finest imported and local ingredients; fennel roasted rack of pork; homemade risotto dishes; grilled steaks; shrimp; seafood; and a fresh catch feature every day. All served with a world class wine menu to match. Bellisio’s has received Wine Spectator’s prestigious “Best of Award of Excellence” every year since we opened in 1999. It’s a simple, colorful, elegant, and exceptional dining experience.

Bellisio's Italian restaurant on Lake Ave. South (just a block away from Duluth's famous elevator bridge) was a wonderful experience. The food is prepared per order and the wine menu is outrageous.

Plan to spend a leisurely dining experience here. It's like visiting Italy in one evening. The food is excellent, the wine is perfect and the service is friendly and expertly trained.

The price isn't cheap, but it's very reasonable for the quality of food and service you get. Guaranteed, you will not be unsatified with Bellisio's if you enjoy fine dining. If you're looking for a quick dine-and-go meal, this is not the place for you.

This is my favorite restaurant in Duluth. The food and service are always good. I have been there several times and have no particular favorite dish as the menu changes. The atmosphere is great.

My husband and I ate here quite regularly until our most recent and downright awful experience. We sat at our regular table this particular evening and ordered our favorite meals. We enjoyed a glass of wine and some bread before the meals arrived. The first few bites were seemingly fine until my husband had to spit out something that he could not chew...it was a furniture pad! The kind you attach to the bottom of a chair leg to slide across and/or protect a wood floor! How exactly does something like that end up in your pasta? We called our waiter over, explained the situation, also showing him the odd item in our food and he went to speak with the manager. He came back and said the manager told him to tell us that this "doesn't normally happen" and that my husband didn't have to pay for his meal. That is all they did! The manager didn't come over to our table, no apology was made and our waiter had some nerve asking us if we'd like the remaining pasta boxed up for us to take home. We are disgusted by this establishment and certainly will never return.
