Description: The Pickwick is Duluth's landmark restaurant situated on the shore of Lake Superior. Best known for its steaks and seafood from the only indoor charcoal grill in the area. There are also great burgers and sandwiches for under $12. The banquet room accommodates up to 50 people and offers privacy for business or family occasions. The bar has been restored to its 1940 layout offering an energetic atmosphere for all ages. Two happy hours - before dinner and late night - keep the bar hopping from 4am until close. The dining rooms bring back the history of the Pickwick which has been operating since 1914. Fine dining is at its best with our excellent serving staff along with the creations of Chef Jake Sutula. Reservations are accepted. Come see why the Pickwick has been Duluth's place to be for nearly a century!

“Old fashioned steak house - thank heavens”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2013

The Pickwick is a lovely old restaurant that remembers why people come there--not for faux cultural artifacts or huge menus, but rather excellent food, good service, reasonable prices and a comfortable setting.

“Nice historic building with a view!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2013

My wife's sister and her husband took us to Pickwick for lunch. Something out of the ordinary to be sure. The restaurant is not tired, as "azis" said. It is historic! Great old architecture and furnishings. I had a burger and onion rings, both great. The view of lake Superior wasn't bad either.

“Classic supper club”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2013 via mobile

Went for a special occasion dinner. No problem getting a reservation as it's no longer the hot spot compared to the other trendy places. Food was good - very traditional steaks, seafood. Veggies were undercooked, but we didnt send them back. Spectacular view of the lake and right by shops and the boardwalk.

“An OK Dinner Experience”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2013

We were looking forward to a great steak dinner experience & probably had our hopes set too high. My filet was probably the best out of our 3 entrees (other 2 were steak options as well).
When we first arrived, we ordered drinks. My Mojito had OBVIOUS spoiled mint leaves (brown/mushy) that the waitress had to have noticed--she was only carrying 2 drinks on her tray. I had to point it out--she came back & said 'no more mint leaves/no more Mojitos--not surprising.
We ordered a bottle of wine for dinner and as our waitress set the wine glasses down, I noticed that the glass she had placed in front of me had an OBVIOUS water mark all the way around (like water had been sitting in the glass for a week & not cleaned out. Again, I pointed it out to her & she said something about it being darker in the bar area & hard to see...
The restaurant is beautiful---and the view of the lake is outstanding---we enjoyed that very much!

“Good meatloaf”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2013

After being unable to find parking in Canal park, we went to lunch here. We got a table overlooking Lake Superior. The special was meatloaf, so we both ordered that. It came with mashed potatoes and green beans. It was very good.
