Description: Since 1976 Grandma’s Saloon & Grill has been a casual but lively adventure to the past where value and customer service are at the center of everything we do. You’re surrounded by authentic antiques, collectibles, and an eager staff ready and willing to please. The award winning food includes overstuffed sandwiches and burgers; USDA choice steaks; house specialty pasta and wild rice dishes; appetizers include nationally recognized homemade onion rings, chicken wings, and stuffed mushrooms. It’s an eyeful as well as a mouthful. The legacy of customer satisfaction has been handed down by the Italian immigrant who started it all, “Grandma” Rosa Brochi. Everything she did in her early boarding house business included “100% customer satisfaction,” words that we still live by today. Grandma’s Saloon & Grill is real history, real antiques, real service, and really good food! A dining experience of legendary indulgence. The original Grandma’s Saloon & Grill is located at the foot of the historic Aerial Lift Bridge, at the tip of Lake Superior. Seasonal deck dining and the new rooftop lounge includes this spectacular view.

“Good food, crazy decor, awesome location”
Reviewed March 13, 2014

We had a great lunch at Grandma's that the kids still are talking about. They had kids corndogs which were really, really good corndogs! They came with very standard sides (wish they were a little more creative but the kids were happy). I had the wild rice burger which was one of the best things I ate in Duluth. It was so tasty and unique. I really recommend it! Nice beer selection too with some local brews and they do even offer a flight. Hubby had some kind of Rueben or pastrami sandwich which he devoured in silence, which means it's a meal he's savoring. Odd décor with random geese from the ceiling with wreaths around their necks. And everything was served on very small plates. Kind of hard to eat the side salad on such a small plate! But we'd go back without a doubt. Perfect location too, right on the canal.

Can't beat Grandma's when you need something quick and easy. Their onion rings are the best! We also had really great service and our entrees were great!

“Best Rings in Town!”
Reviewed March 4, 2014

Get a half order of Onion Rings and keep them all to yourself. Or get a full order and share with one other person. You will find them crisp, golden, and wonderfully tasteful with some Ranch or Blue Cheese dip to go with. Add the Wild Chicken Tetrazzini on Tuesdays and you have a dinner beyond compare -- at a reasonable price with the special on Tuesdays. I personally add a brandy Manhattan, but you provide your own drink of choice.

“Our first visit”
Reviewed February 19, 2014

Several people said that if you go to Duluth you have to go to Grandma's and have the Chicken Wild Rice Soup. They were right the soup was excellent. I had the Chicken Pot Pie - kinda bland. The service was very good and attentive. We will most likely go again.

“Average Food, Fun Atmosphere”
Reviewed January 26, 2014

I was in town for an EMS conference. The male server I had was very nice and efficient and the atmosphere was fun. As far as the food, it tasted average. The salad tasted like it definitely came from a bag as did the shrimp. I was looking forward to the French Onion Soup, but thought it was strong. Not sure if it's home-made or also from a package? I will go back because it is fun, but have average expectations for the food.
