“Good zoo, small, but nice exhibits”
Reviewed August 24, 2011

We spent the afternoon here while waiting to check into our hotel the first day of our trip. The admission was only $10. There are several nice exhbits including polar bears, tigers, and kangaroos. There is also a small waterfall located within the park. A good way to spend the afternoon.

“Average, but still good...”
Reviewed August 12, 2011

This was my second visit to the Lake Superior Zoo. I went with my wife and In-laws on a nice September day. There weren’t very many people there, but many of the animals were visible. There was also a lot of construction going on that prevented us from seeing a few of the species. The petting zoo area and primate house were some of my favorite areas because these animals were the most active. This is the first zoo I have ever seen a skunk at, kind of interesting. There is a lot of walking between exhibits. Overall, it is a work in progress, but memories can still be made there. Defiantly take the time to visit.

“Has seen better days”
Reviewed October 9, 2009

This zoo is in desperate need of funding. Having visited the zoo as a child, I remember a bustling zoo full of wildlife and lots of visitors. This summer I had visited this zoo with my children and was quite disappointed to see it in the shape it is in . . . very few animals, broken exhibits . . . sad sad sad.

“Very Nice Zoo”
Reviewed February 16, 2008

We visit this zoo everytime we camp in northern Wisconsin. We enjoy the zoo. The animal displays are set up very nicely. A great zoo for families.Of course, we love the "Northern Territory". Very few zoos have a live Kodiak Bear. Nice gift shop and the Safari Cafe has a few delicious items.Admission
13 and Older - $9.00
(3 to 12) - $4.00

“Good exhibit assortment...”
Reviewed September 21, 2007

...Although the exhibits of this small zoo could be updated a bit to allow viewing animal enclosures from above etc (many of the animals can only be viewed through a glass window or full wire / chain link enclosures, which makes picture-taking difficult), the assortment of animals this small zoo has is good, including a cool kangaroo exhibit that allows you to walk into the enclosure with the animals (although the kangaroos stayed away from the path when I was there). The zoo also has a nice petting zoo for the kids.
