“Well worth the trip”
Reviewed August 1, 2013

Driving from Duluth to Grand Marais was well worth the trip. Stopped at Gooseberry Falls & Split Rock lighthouse. Beautiful views.

“Beauty beyond words...”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

The North Shore of Lake Superior is breathtaking; truly a place of beauty beyond words. Undoubtedly - one of the most scenic drives in the United States. Definitely, a must to experience!!

“Minnesota's Beautiful North Shore Drive”
Reviewed July 29, 2013 via mobile

If you haven't driven up the North Shore from Duluth to the Canadian border, this is a must. The scenery is spectacular along the way and I highly recommend stopping to visit all of most of the state parks on the way.

“Fantastic”
Reviewed July 27, 2013

Take the time to make this drive. Many things to see and photograph. Only bummer part for us was it was foggy so didn't get to photograph SplitRock Lighthouse. Couldn't even see it from the front of the visitor's center that is how thick it was. Many other things along the way however. A must do!!

“Drive up the North Shore of Lake Superior”
Reviewed July 26, 2013

We really enjoyed our trip up the North Shore. We saw several sights on our way up from Duluth to our motel in Grand Marais and back. We also traveled on up to the Canadian border. We had great food: great lunch at the Camp 61 in Beaver Bay and great lunch at My Sister's Place and pizza supper at Swen and Ole's both in Grand Marais! Artist Point was the highlight for us in Grand Marais. Neat scenery--and we built rock formations to add to the beauty of the shore! It was beautiful sightseeing up 61 and glad we made the trip! The Inn at Lake Superior on the Canal in Duluth, Minn., was an excellent place to stay! As we made our way north, we didn't make all the stops we wanted to but did make time for Palisade Head, High Falls (Grand Portage State Park), and the falls at the Temperance River.
