This was the first time we had stayed at this motel. It was extremely clean, but really plain. If you aren't looking for all the bells and whistles, this is the place! There is no fridge, microwave, coffee maker or hair dryer. There was one queen bed, one night table, 2 chairs and a table, a TV and a phone in our room. The carpet was obviously not old because it was clean and the bedding was clean as well. There were no bed bugs. This motel shares a parking lot with the Duluth Grill (which has been featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives) which has great organic beef burgers, salads and their famous banana cream pie! The area seems a bit sketchy, but it was fine. We were there on a Saturday night and there were no problems. The motel is a short drive to downtown, as well as up the hill to the mall. We would recommend this to any traveller that is looking for an inexpensive and clean motel, with tax the room was $70 for two adults.

We have stayed at this Duluth, MN Motel 6 a few times over the past 3 years and we are never disappointed. Each time, the staff is great and the room is very clean. This time we got a room with new carpeting which was a plus and we discovered the free coffee in the lobby and it was very good. As with all Motel 6 locations, it is very basic, you'll need to bring your own hairdryer, shampoo, facial tissue, etc. It's got a great central location and is right off the freeway so it makes getting around the city very easy. The motel is behind a gas station/Burger King and also a wonderful restaurant: The Duluth Grill, their pancakes & fresh squeezed O.J. are amazing. If you want a budget priced motel, you won't be disappointed with this Motel 6!

We booked this hotel last minute for an overnight stay, it was cheap, and close to my evenings activities (Clyde Ironworks, 1 1/2 blocks away)
Lobby was a little sketchy, check in was quick and easy.
The room was quite possibly the most featureless room I've ever been in.
Here's what you get: A place to hang a few things mounted on the wall, a light wood colored combo dresser/desk/tv stand, Ice bucket, 4 plastic cups, 19" standard definition tube type tv with remote control, queen bed, one nightstand (no alarm clock), a 3' x 3' table 2 chairs, 2 bars of soap,and a few towels.
It felt very sparse and plain, but it provided me with a clean, warm, fairly safe place to rest my head for the night.
