The hotel is ideally located in the heart of Canal Park right near everything downtown. I enjoyed a great stay at this hotel. It's located right next to an awesome brewpub that serves great drinks and good food. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and will definitely be returning in the future.

I am a regular visitor to Duluth and have stayed at all the hotels along Lake Superior in Canal Park except for this one so thought I would give it a try. I was impressed and the price was reasonable compared to the other hotels along the big lake. Room was a little small but was nice and clean. We chose the city side instead of lake side to save a little. Beds were comfy and had all we needed. Bathroom was nice and clean too. We will stay here again in the future.

We like to stay in Duluth during the off-season as hotels have reasonable rates then as compared to the summer months. Even though April in Duluth this year was a bit winter-like, we still managed to enjoy the lakewalk, which is right outside the door. Lots of restaurants to walk to, as well as other shops.

The rooms are are not huge, but they're certainly adequate. I like that here and in other Hampton Inns in which I've stayed, the bathroom is angled into a corner and is very large. Our room, even though it was called a city-view, gave us a sideways peak at Lake Superior, so that was a bonus.

Breakfast is a nice hotel breakfast, with a big bowl of fruit that some places don't have. The sunroom, right off the breakfast room, is a great place to have your morning coffee and watch the lake. Cookies are available in the lobby in the afternoons, and water bottles are for the taking in the morning.

We stayed at this hotel recently on our trip to Minneapolis. The location is nice, handy for walking, several places nearby to eat at. Our room was clean, quiet and cozy. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet with its tasty variety of choices such as eggs, bacon, waffles, fruit, yogurt, and juices. The staff was helpful and friendly. Overall, I would stay there again when visiting Duluth.

We love the canal park area and recommend staying in the area anytime someone visits Duluth. This is the first time we stayed at this particular hotel as our normal choices were full. I stay at a lot of Hampton Inns for business travel, and this is middle of the road compared to others. I was slightly disappointed in the front staff upon arrival as she appeared to be bothered. It was also surprising as the HHonors upgrade I request was not fulfilled, nor could they explain why. Great breakfast and the food staff is fantastic. Love the 4 seasons porch of the food area as it provides a great view of Lake Superior. This area could use more frequent sweeps by staff for cleanup. The pool area is very small and crowded on weekends. Overall good value and very close to many of Duluth's attractions and restaurants.

The lakefront may be cold, but our stay in the Hampton Inn was warm and cozy. Really nice, spacious room. Friendly staff. Cookies and newspapers if we wanted. Lots of breakfast choices. I will stay there again.

Perfect stay couldn't of asked for anything better. We had a beautiful view of the lift bridge as well as the light houses. The hotel is beautiful and in great shape the staff was great to deal with and did everything they could to make our stay perfect. We will always know were to stay when in Duluth and will always recommend the Hampton Inn.
