Description: Restaurant, bar and event venue located in Duluth, MN. Established in 1889, the original Clyde Iron Works was a steel foundry and manufacturer of heavy machinery, once instrumental in completing well-known projects such as the Panama Canal, Empire State Building and Golden Gate Bridge. Today, it serves as one of the top restaurant, bar and event venues in northern Minnesota - still honoring the American worker and Duluth's golden industrial age.

“Best Ruben in Minnesota”
Reviewed December 22, 2013 via mobile

Was in Duluth on Business for 2 days stopped at Clyde Iron for lunch came across the Rueben. At thought I would try it. It was the best Rueben I ever had. So good I went back the 2nd day for another one. They say it takes the 5 days to make the meat. It's is worth trying. I have been there several time but never ordered the Rueben.

“Average food in a unique atmosphere”
Reviewed December 8, 2013 via mobile

I have eaten lunch here a few times with friends and while the food is decent, it seems to take a long time to actually get your food. The atmosphere is very unique, but given the size of the establishment, it can seem empty. Another thing that I noticed is that it seems a little on the cool side during the winter months.

“Average Food, Average Service”
Reviewed August 24, 2013

There isn't much special about Clyde Iron. The food is OK -- typical American grill/diner type food. It's good food but you could basically get it anywhere. The atmosphere at Clyde, however, is interesting. The place is HUGE so it feels awkward that there is a restaurant inside. On the plus side, the building is quite historic and there are interesting pictures to check out. The vibe inside the building is decent once your sitting down and eating.

“Great Pizza”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

Love the pizza. I have also tried a few of their daily specials which are very good also. The restaurant setting is a one of a kind. Very good service every time we eat there.

“Dissatisfying”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

The physical space is interesting but you can only entertain yourself so long when you are hungry and waiting an hour for a burger, a sandwich, a mac and cheese crock, and a pot pie. Of those dishes, one was over salted, another cold and sent back for reheating, and another over done. Unsure why the service was so slow when there were only a handful of customers there. The local beer recommended by the server was not good. Overall, a totally dissatisfying dining experience.
