This museum is free and filled with interesting history about the lift bridge, which is the only of it's kind, and interesting history of shipping on the great lakes and, sadly, some of the disasters on Lake Superior. They also have films on light houses the ecology of Lake Superior and other similar interests. They also give information about the ships coming and going through the canal when ships pass through during their hours of operation.

Clean and good sized bathrooms. Great history. Can capture the attention of 4 year olds and you can wander in and out watching boats. Must pay to park but worth the visit. Bring some spare old bread to throw at the gulls.
