“Fun and informative”

Something for everyone -young and old alike. Lots of exhibits, lots of history presented in a variety of fun ways that keeps all ages interested. Relics retrieved from several shipwrecks are fascinating to look at and read about. The life-size replica of a ship's bridge is a lot of fun to be in. Highly recommend!

“Wonderful Museum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 19, 2012

We were fascinated by the displays. It is well worth the time to visit.

This area also has an excellent display nearby managed the the U.S. Corps of Engineers. Also nearby is a lock where you may be able to see a 1,000 foot freighter pass.

“Don't miss the museum next to the pier in Duluth”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 16, 2012

Highly recommendt this museum - right next to the Duluth pier with a great view of the lift bridge. Plus, it's totally free! Take the family. It's fun to check when ships arrive/depart, what load they're carrying, and what country they are from. We enjoyed the topographic maps and both floors have a lot to offer. If you need to get out of the wind and cold, the 2nd floor has a great vew of the harbor and the lift bridge.
