Enger Park and Tower
Ranked #4 of 96 things to do in Duluth
Certificate of Excellence

Beautiful little park with a great view of the city and Lake Superior. A climb up Enger tower is well worth it but can be very windy at the top. They just keep making improvements in this park and it gets better and better!

I climbed to the top carrying a 2 year old but would quickly do it again for the view of the harbor.

The grounds around the park are very inviting with beautiful flowers and shrubs. The view at the top is very good. We got good shots of the area. As we were descending we heard the haunting sound of a didgeridoo. Someone was playing it inside the tower and it was echoing throughout. It was really cool! The guy said that he made the instrument himself.

Due to the recent flooding that Duluth had about a month ago, you cannot traverse the entire drive due to the road conditions. You can easily access the tower though, once you walk to the top, the view of the harbor and Duluth is well worth the short drive. Signage though is a little lacking and you have to pay attention.

This is pretty hard to get to. But worth every turn of the road. Area overlooks the Duluth area and Lake Superior's south west side. Can walk right to the edge of the cliffs for stunning pictures. Walk through a Japanese garden. Ad up into the tower to see even more sights over Duluth.
