Owner description: Watch seagulls soaring while you stroll around this popular spot, part of the revived Duluth waterfront. Nearby are a sculpture garden, jazz clubs, coffee shops, motels and restaurants. If you like ships, stand on the pier and watch huge boats and ships, some from around the world, come and go daily.

Beautiful walkway around the shore. The rocks were the best part for my kids who really enjoyed climbing on them.

A scenic walk along Lake Superior. Lots of shops to check out and several very good restaurants. The aerial bridge is the highlight of the area.

Canal Park is a real asset to Duluth. There's food, shopping and lots to see and do. Go ahead, enjoy the day and have fun being a tourist! Parking can be $$ if you're not staying at one of the Canal Park hotels.

We went to Canal Park a few times as that seems to be a large hub for the tourists. There were tons of restaurants and unique shops. However, when we went to dinner it seemed like everywhere we pulled in was "Parking only for XYZ. Employee Parking Only. Parking no more than 2 hours." Either we missed lots or they need to put in a parking garage. We went to Grandma's Saloon which had a great fish sandwich and Oktoberfest specials. We went to the Maritime museum. We went to the movie theater. The Haunted Ship was even going on and there were a TON of people.

The canal park and Lakewalk on Duluths harbor are a great place to spend a day. There are some wonderful restaurants, nice shops, and then finish it off with a long walk on the Lakewalk.
