Owner description: Watch seagulls soaring while you stroll around this popular spot, part of the revived Duluth waterfront. Nearby are a sculpture garden, jazz clubs, coffee shops, motels and restaurants. If you like ships, stand on the pier and watch huge boats and ships, some from around the world, come and go daily.

A great place to visit with the family. We played on the board walk for hours, filled the lake with rocks, ate ice cream, watch the bridge go up and down. Toured the Irving, and aquarium.

Wonderful place to visit, the maritime museum is a must. The lift bridge is really cool and is really a sight to see. If you can watch one of the ships come in, you're in for a huge treat!

Walking along the sea wall is also a must do, you'll get some awesome views of downtown Duluth.

There are also some really unique shops in the area and Grandma's is a great place for lunch or dinner.

I love Canal Park, not ALOT of things to do, but is the most wonderful place. Try to stay to watch a ship come in that needs the lift bridge lifted. Many places to eat, shop, and just relax.

My wife and I did a two week tour of several cities in Minnesota, including Grand Marais, Duluth & Hibbing. We were up there to escape the Florida heat and didn't really know what we were going to do, but turned out to have a really great vacation. Please see my other posts regarding lodging, meals, etc. if you are interested in a similar trip.

We're from Florida so probably a little spoiled with the beaches, but this was a nice area. Cute little boardwalk area for walking...beach area for swimming & laying out...restaurants overlooking the water. You can walk along the shore and visit different parts of downtown, the bridge and park point from here. A little crowded over the summer, but everyone seemed to be happy to be outside.

Walk along the parkway and marvel at the water, and the big boats. A great weekend getaway in Duluth, and Canal Park is the center of the action.
