If you have any interest at all in trains, then this is the place for you. My husband could spend days here. Lots of different trains from several eras. Small gift shop and a snack type stand.

We have the national railroad museum here in Green Bay. This museum is 1000000 % better. Lots to see.

What a wonderful place to visit, particularly if you've ever had an interest in trains. They have so many restored cars and a huge 128' long train. This is a "must see" for train lovers.

We also went on a lake shore trip in an observation car on the Zephyr. My kids and grandkids really enjoyed it.

Spent the morning of Oct 10 touring the museum and then did the 1 1/2 hr train trip. Great trip in the dome car. Staff were very personable and the GPS triggered history audio was very interesting and well done. I work for a tourist railway and would recommend the trip. Well done folks.

Took the 12:30 train trip. Our guide, Deb, was knowledgeable of the area and just made the ride a lot of fun with her sense of humor and people skills. Had seen the museum during an earlier visit to Duluth and being able to be next to those big locomotive engines-great!

We love to visit museums when we travel, and made a point to get to this one. It was quite a challenge with the construction on so many streets in the area. The trains are so nicely restored and displayed, and it's fun to go aboard the ones that are open. Another feature we liked was the Main Street area, staged along one long wall of the museum, featuring old shop windows showing products and services of the turn of the century. That was something we hadn't seen in other railroad museums we visited. The experience gave a nice picture of transportation via train in the Great Lakes area.

Well worth the historic visit to this fun train museum - lots of very cool railcars from years gone by sitting outside for all to see. Great gift shop.
