Beacon Pointe looks like such a great place in theory. The rooms have AMAZING views, really fantastic amenities (comfy beds, nice bathrooms/jacuzzis, updated furniture and fixtures, super soft towels), the location was so convenient to all sorts of things, and was priced very reasonably. Unfortunately all of that is destroyed by there being absolutely no sound proofing. We thought this was a bit of an exaggeration previous reviews and we were not too worried, but it was so very true. It feels like the people who are in the next room are actually in your room, not only do you hear everything they have to say (and I mean everything), but it leads you to worry that they can hear everything you say, which meant we were whispering all weekend. My recommendation is to look elsewhere, and if you've already booked a room, pack ear plugs.
We thought the front desk staff was very helpful and kind. We found that the housekeeping staff left a little bit lacking--they didn't leave refills of any of the amenities (coffee, lotion/shampoo, kleenexes, etc) even though it was evident they had been used up, or clean things like the glasses etc.More
