The remodeling was beautiful, comfortable beds and very clean. Food and service in the restaurant was great. Beautiful lake view from the restaurant, lounge and our room. The staff were very nice and accomodating. We can hardly wait until our stay over New Years Eve.

We were in Detroit Lakes on business and had never stayed here before. We had 6 rooms total and great time. The meals were awesome and so was sitting by the lake watching the sunset. Totally recommend this place for anyones stay. The rooms were like a nice Holiday Express. Just had been upgraded. Flat screen TV's, the works.

Room Tip: Ask for a lake view. Beautiful!

The remodeled rooms were great! We enjoyed the pool area and the new renovated patio. This is a great hotel to come with your family and spend a relaxing weekend. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and we will definitely be coming back.

I stayed at this hotel a few nights ago while on a business trip and was surprised at the great location. I don't know of many other hotels in this price range that are right on a lake and have docks all set up for anyone to use. It's unfortuante that I was there on a business stay or else I definitely would have put them to use!

Their bar/restaurant area was nice, though understaffed. There was one poor employee who had to wait tables, get food, and serve drinks from the bar. Dinner took a little longer than expected, but the quality of the food and drinks was great, as was the price.

The room itself was very nice. Clean (save for one stray fly that somehow found its way in after I settled in), and very up-to-date with its furnishings, I had no complaints about the accomodations in the room. There were no instructions to connect to the wireless internet, but the front desk staff was more than helpful with that. My room also had its window facing the pool which got a little noisy in the evening, but it closed down around 10pm, so it did not affect my sleep. The bed was very comfy and the bathroom was clean.

If I'm in the area again, I will definitely stay here. For the money, it's a heck of a deal.

Room Tip: Lakeside rooms are quieter.

Rooms are nicely re-done. Much better than I expected. Service was great in and out of the on site restaurant. Very friendly staff.

This Holiday Inn was very modern and nice. The location on the lake makes it a great place to vacation and since they have a marina on location it was perfect for us to bring our boat. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone vacationing in the Detroit Lakes area!

Room Tip: Lakeside rooms have a great view!

This hotel used to be old & tired -- no more!
The remodel is beautiful.
We stayed during the off-season, so the room rate was the best in town.
It's beautifully re-modeled, & the morning restaurant wait-staff very friendly, yet professional. We had the bad luck for our evening meal to get a newby waitress who was not at all good.
