My husband and I stayed in the King Spa Suite for our anniversary. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by friendly staff. The décor of the hotel is warm and cozy. They had warm washcloths scented of lemongrass in a warmer-sounds strange, but they were really great! Our room was very clean and comfortable.
Pros: The hotel is very quiet-a bonus for us! The room was very clean and cozy. The onsite bar was quant and offered items at a reasonable price-it tasted great. The view of the lake is beautiful. I enjoyed the toiletry items offered in the room. We were able to get extra perks through a hotel package deal the lodge offered.
Cons: The whirlpool in room tub was on the small side. Taller/larger guests may have a tough time comfortably enjoying. I would recommend guests get the cheaper room and just use the hot tub by the pool. The "aroma therapy" is just a pad you stuff in a hole of the tub-not what I was expecting. When the trains pass, you can feel them-we weren't bothered by this though. The hotel doesn't have a sit down restaurant per say-rather a lobby lounge that offers a small selection of food. The price was a bit steep for the room-next time we will skip the spa suite.
We will defiantly be back -the hotel was clean, comfortable, relaxing and quiet! Staff were pleasant and seemed eager to make our stay a success!
