“Off the Beaten Track but worth it!!”
Reviewed December 28, 2012

This place is well off the main drag. You can get to it from the North off CR6 and from South from CR18. I have been there many times and each time had a good wholesome meal. This is not high cuisine but the right stuff for a deep in the countryside family eatery. The menu suits all ages and if not busy they'll mix steak and pasta or what ever for the growing teenager! The service varies with the number of clients, so slow as you would expect at peak times but has always been with charm and style, the beer selection both bottled and on draught is good if you have to wait. Parking no problem at all - plenty of nearby space which is appreciated at zero Fahrenheit. Recommended for a good meal.

“Find it....love it.”
Reviewed November 26, 2012

Lonesome Pine is a perfect slice of up north lake culture. Laid back, local, yet accessible and friendly to all. It's out of the way, being 20 minutes outside of Brainerd (closer to Garrison if you are at Grand Casino), but well worth the drive if you are looking for good food in a local setting. Fun for summer or winter. The pizza was unexpectedly excellent and the beers on tap offered something for everyone. The dining/bar area is roomy, well lit, and inviting. Take a chance and find Lonesome Pine....you won't be sorry. Also, a great place for families.

“Nice room, pretty good food, reasonable prices.”
Reviewed October 10, 2012

Room is up north bar, service was good, food was good, up north bar menu. Prices were reasonable, staff was friendly. It was recommended by some locals. If we are up that way again, I would go back.

“Worth the drive for dinner”
Reviewed August 21, 2012

We have dined at the Lonesome Pine a number of times and have always had a great experience. They have a wide variety of food and beverages including pasta, steaks and fish. The atmosphere suits all ages and the staff is excellent. Be sure to check their hours as they are usually open in the evenings, not always for breakfast or lunch. Whenever we are in the area this is our first choice.
