My wife and I visited Axel's Friday evening. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. Our server, Erin, was with us almost immediately, with water and information on the evening's specials. I ordered the ribeye with bernaise sauce on the side, and my wife ordered bacon wrapped scallops with orange hoeseradish sauce. My steak was cooked perfectly to medium rare and was almost fork tender. My wife's scallops were tender and moist. Axel's serves a green bean vegatable garnish with entrees that is wonderful. They are blanched in hot oil and then tossed with a honey teriyaki sauce. Excellent! They also serve great popovers, salad & a side, included with your entree. This place has become a favorite of mine. Service is excellent, the food is great and the prices reasonable for this type of Restaurant.
