“Sweet sweet wine”
Reviewed October 14, 2012

Visitind our son at a local college, and since i'm in the wine biz decieded to check out the Cannon Rivery Winery, nice place, very busy yet was still comfortable,$8.00. For a full tasting was reasonable. Now the downside the wine was passable at best. Maybe its just local preference but everything was sweet and several of the reds were served COLD!!! The server was knowledgeable about their wines but not about wine in general was happy to tell us their favorites but never asked what we thought about the wine. Stick to selling the cute merchandise and import some wine fomr Cali or Oregon.

“Friendly staff and local favorite”
Reviewed October 8, 2012

My husband and I walked into the Cannon River Winery store in downtown Cannon Falls, to see many of the tables already occupied by what appeared to be, and was later confirmed as locals, who were showing up after work. There is not much in the way of food available, so if you are hoping to sit down for a meal with your wine tasting, this is not the place. We opted to sample Flights of wines, though they were not true flights, as you could pick any three wines, red or whites, dry or sweet, and you would get 2 oz of each of your selections to try. After selecting our vintages and filling out our cards, we were asked to take a seat and they'd bring over the glasses. Five of the six wines we tried we really enjoyed, though two of the whites were so close it was a toss-up between which to buy. The staff were all friendly and cheerful, and though they were quite busy, the staff did their best to offer us speedy service.

The flight were a little spending compared to other wineries in the area for what you got. I wish they served more varity of food, it might have been they day. They just had a small frig you could get a few types of chees and crackers.

“Very Nice and Fun Winery”
Reviewed September 4, 2012

Very Nice and Fun Winery !! We helped harvest their grapes on 9-1-12 and had a good time.
Their were 51 people helping and we picked a little over two tons of grapes. They provide a nice little lunch and wine samples. We then went directly to the winery in Cannon Falls and watch them process the grapes we just picked and we sampled the grape juice. It was very sweet and good. The winery is very cool as you can see them doing the processing of the grapes. We did a wine tasting and thoroughly enjoyed all their wines. I would definitely recommend visiting this gem of a winery and sampling and buying their wines.

“A good diversion from the city”
Reviewed September 3, 2012

After a beautiful ride down through the rolling hills of the St Croix Valley, we came upon Cannon Falls. The Cannon River Winery was a pleasant surprise with friendly staff and fun atmosphere. It is harvest time and, no matter your tastes, it is enjoyable to watch the wine-making process first hand, listen to music by live band and have a flight of wines to try. The reds were surprisingly good.
