“Very good dining option especially if you live in the southern suburbs”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

My husband and I received a gift certificate for the Porterhouse (in Lakeville), which we enjoyed. Our server there recommended we try out their sister restaurant, Chianti, so we decided to try it out on a night when we were going to a concert at the Minnesota Zoo in Apple Valley. It is convenient to not have to drive into downtown Minneapolis to find nice dining. Was this the most authentic, phenomenal Italian food I have ever had? No, but it was still very, very good. Our server was friendly, the wine list was decent, the atmosphere was upscale, and the food was very good. We ordered two appetizers (the same amazing artichoke/parmesan dip served at Porterhouse and the walleye strips), and then we shared an entrée ("straw and hay" tortellini). We will definitely eat here again as the location is very convenient for any southern suburb dwellers if you are planning to catch a movie at the nearby Paragon theater.

“Great food!”
Reviewed July 31, 2013

A little loud, but the food and service were top notch. Wait time was pretty close to what the hostess quoted us. Food was served promptly.

The Chianti Grill is a great place for a meal or to just socialize with appetizers. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

“Great service...”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

My daughter and I were out shopping and decided to grab some dinner. We were driving and saw Chianti Grill so decided to give it a try. When we arrived we noticed that the crowd was dressed in business casual attire and that the jeans and sweatshirts we were wearing were a little too casual for the dining room so asked the hostess if we could just sit in the bar area. They were very friendly and offered us a seat on the patio which was very nice but the weather wasn't the greatest so we decided to stick with the inside bar area. We found an open booth and were greeted immediately by a server. She was fabulous (her name was Piper) and recommended two fabulous dishes! It looked like there were a lot of big groups so they must do a great job accomodating them! I will definitely return, next time may bring a few more friends!

“Worthwhile.”
Reviewed July 26, 2013

It won't overwhelm you, but it is a nice atmosphere and comfortable dining experience. We experienced really good service, thank you Jill. The prices are what you expect for a dining experience that offers something a little more upscale. The food was good. We regretted the calamari appetizer, it is clearly not a specialty of the house. My wife's Lobster Ravioli was very good and we would recommend it to all. My Michelangelo's Tenderloin Medallions were well prepared but the wine reduction does leaves the dish a little salty. It was good, but I would probably chose something else from the menu on 2nd visit. The wine list has much to offer. Overall, very good. I could see us going back with a larger group on the next visit.
