My husband and I received a gift certificate for the Porterhouse (in Lakeville), which we enjoyed. Our server there recommended we try out their sister restaurant, Chianti, so we decided to try it out on a night when we were going to a concert at the Minnesota Zoo in Apple Valley. It is convenient to not have to drive into downtown Minneapolis to find nice dining. Was this the most authentic, phenomenal Italian food I have ever had? No, but it was still very, very good. Our server was friendly, the wine list was decent, the atmosphere was upscale, and the food was very good. We ordered two appetizers (the same amazing artichoke/parmesan dip served at Porterhouse and the walleye strips), and then we shared an entrée ("straw and hay" tortellini). We will definitely eat here again as the location is very convenient for any southern suburb dwellers if you are planning to catch a movie at the nearby Paragon theater.
