This free nature center offers sooooo much to the Brainerd Lakes Area. From walking your dog (doggie doodoo bag station provided ), cross country skiing and overall events hosted there, you'd be foolish not to partake in the year long beauty of this piece of heaven located in the middle of the main drag .
In October , they host a fabulous haunted trail guaranteed to scare the drawers off of you .
Whatever time of year you are in the area , take the time for a nature walk .....

This Arboretum is beautiful. I grew up in the north country and to see all the white birch was wonderful. The grounds are very well kept and the indoor exhibits are very educational.

Wear shoes you can get muddy because that may happen, and use mosquitoe repellent if easily bitten, although we didn't have a problem with them when we were there. Is very centrally located right behind the main highway in the center of town! Worth a visit -- staff very eager to help you.
