“For the prices they charge, the lockers should have locks”

The water park was fine - my family went the day after Thanksgiving. Crowds were reasonable, and there were things to do for all ages - a kids' play area that wasn't boring, bigger slides and a surfing area for the big kids (and dads), and a lazy river for everyone.

Now for the bad: they charged $35 per person, even for three year olds. Little kids like it, but they get cold after an hour and have had enough. There should be smaller fees for small children who won't be staying for the entire session.

The locker rooms were ridiculous - very small, dirty, and there were no locks available on lockers. You had to put your stuff in an unlocked locker or bring it with you on deck and take your chances. There was barely enough room to stand and get dressed in the ladies room, and there were puddles and dirty towels everywhere (no hamper for wet towels at all) in the small alley-like space. We had wanted to shower the kids after we visited, but after seeing the condition of the locker rooms we just wanted to get the hell out. The only redeeming feature in the locker room was the bathing suit spinner to dry your suit.

As mentioned above, we did have fun, but for the 90 minutes our kids (ages 3 - 6) were interested and not freezing, it was not worth the price.

I want to apologize for the recent experience you had at the Water Park of America. The condition of the locker room that you have described is not acceptable and not at all what we want our guests to experience. We took the kids to the Water Park of America and they just loved it. The Radisson was decent and the park had a lot to offer both young and not so young. You can find some good deals through Groupon and others.

We had my Grandaughter's Birthday Party at the Water Park America. My friends and family had fun but, The prices were WHY to much and the service for the birthday party was VERY BAD.I would not go there again for a Birthday Party.

The waterpark is good fun but can be very busy. One annoying part is the lockers are on one side of the park with the concessions on the other. It makes for lots of walking.

Such a great attraction for cold weather indoor activity.
We keep going back because of " flow rider" the indoor surfing. Used to stay on site at the Radisson...they do have charming room with built in bunk beds, but you pay a premium and then extra for the waterpark. The kids never tire of it and their arcade. If you plan on staying all day....its worth the price...almost $30.00 pp. But we booked online with a discount code and saved $8.00pp.
I could watch the surfer wannabees all day and occasionally , a kid who really knows what their doing, puts on a show. Its usually one of the lifeguards. A great all day activity, but it would be great if there was an adults only hot tub area like many indoor waterparks.
We stayed about a mile away at the Springhill Suites and save $200.00 per night.
Best bet is to plan ahead for a deal. Occasional internet coupons are available through the Bloomington Chamber site and booking online will save you a few bucks as well.
