We have had another good stay at the Hilton. We truly appreciate the beautiful lobby area and pool area. They set themselves apart from other hotels. The front desk service is very good and the water & hot chocolate is a nice touch. The room beds in the room we stayed in were not as good as other stays we've had here. The mattresses were a bit saggy and about ready to be replaced. The lamp on the night stand by the beds was dusty. The bathroom and rest of the room was very clean. The pool area had not been attended to. There were many wet towels left lying around and the jets were not working well in either hot tub. Even when we turned the hot tub knob very little movement came out of the jets.

Comfortable and clean but worn and badly in need of upgrading.
Breakfast in the executive lounge is very limited and by 09.00 has run out of many basics.
This hotel should not be in the Hilton league.
Price /quality ratio under par.

I'm going to start with what's good about the hotel. Rhoda, the day shift front desk clerk was wonderful and went above and beyond to make up for our troubles. Carol, the waitress in the Blue Water Grill was extremely attentive and provided equally excellent service. Kudos to them.

This hotel is not new but considering, it's pretty well kept. The lobby is pleasing, the pool area and workout facilities clean. They provide headphones for you to use while working out and towels in the pool area, but stuff to clean the workout equipment was MIA. The restaurant had a great breakfast buffet and we had that included in our room rates. Our room had two double beds (not queen but they were very comfortable), coffee maker, internet, etc. Although we could see it needs some TLC, for the most part, no complaints about the design of the hotel or amenities.

We checked in on Monday evening, March 25 with two rooms / adjoining (Room 425 & 426). The front desk staff was professional, not necessarily friendly, but professional. We did not get our HH welcome packet or mention of our membership which I think is a big no no for Hilton. The bathroom floor in room 426 was not clean (used q-tip, toilet paper shreds, foot prints) and since we were simply dropping our things off, I informed the front desk and told them I would like it cleaned before we got back. The did not clean it for us but everyone was tired, so I decided to address the lack of attention to my request in the morning. After walking around the two rooms, I noticed the carpets were wet in places in both rooms so I called the front desk that evening and told them that our bathroom wasn't cleaned for us and the carpet was wet in places so I wanted to be moved to new rooms the next day. (No problem.) Sleep was fine, except the AC was extremely loud.

The carpets were still wet the next morning and had they dried, I probably would have skipped moving since we slept ok despite the AC. I spoke to Rhoda at the front desk and told her the situation and she was extremely gracious and apologetic. I suggested we switch rooms after we got cleaned up (I used extra towels on the floor) so the staff did not need to clean two rooms that day. They arranged for two rooms on the same floor, one across the hall and one further down. The one across the hall was the same kind of room, but in this room, the bathtub was full to the brim with water and the faucet was leaking. Back downstairs I went (the other room was fine).

She put us in another room and let me check it out first and it was fine. Because of our trouble, Rhoda gave us Executive level access, snacks and water for our room, and really bent over backwards for us. We laughed about our problems and the communication was wonderful. For customer service, I give this hotel 5 stars. However, little things like the shower curtain being torn in our room (426), dirty / out dated wall paper, cheap bathroom hooks (426), slow draining tubs, and other things that remind us the hotel is used are simple fixes and should be addressed. I'm not sure I would pick this hotel out to stay at again, but I wouldn't avoid it either as their staff made up for the concerns I had.

Room Tip: We were in 425, 426, 423, 429, and 406. 429 & 406 were fine.

Thank you for your review and for your praise of Rhoda and Carol. However, I'm embarrassed that your experience was so badly muted by the room conditions you've described. I have verfied that these rooms were taken out-of-service pending corrective action and appropriate coaching has been conducted.

We hope to see you again and to deliver the experience you deserve,

The park and fly option worked great for us. Parking was pretty close to the hotel. Getting to and from airport was easy in the shuttle. If you are flying out of HH they go to the main terminal first so allow an extra 10 minutes or so. When we got back to the msp airport we just call the hotel and they said they shuttle would arrive in 8 - 10 minutes, which he did.

Having grown up in the Twin Cities, with all the choices of lodging there are, Bloomington is a great central location. We decided on the Hilton near the Mall of America and were quite pleased. The room was clean and quiet and the staff was most hospitable. I would definately stay at this property again.

From the quality of the accommodations to the proximity of the hotel to Airports, we always stay here. Older hotel, but very well maintained. Love the beds; I always sleep very well. Bathroom is also very nice. Price has gone up a little over the last few years (we usually book around the same dates) so that's a little disappointing, but still enjoy very much.

Took a road trip out to the pacific coast and this was by far the best hotel during our trip! Excellent hotel! Rooms were clean as a whistle and the beds were so comfortable. We got a great deal on this hotel through Hotwire and it was worth every penny. I just wish all of the hotels during our trip were as great as this one. We would definitely stay here again!
