Arrived to find an incredible spacious room. Nice comfortable setting with the fireplace and the 42in flat screen TV. Makes you feel at home. Nice to see laminate flooring rather than carpeting. Restaurant wasn't open so we will be coming back to check that out. The pool area was great, nice area for smaller children. Had some housekeeping issues that Clare and Chris from the front desk went over and above to correct. Best customer service ever, I guess it’s all in how you handle a problem. Thanks to Clare,Chris and Brandon. Would definitely recommend this hotel and we will be staying again.

This is a top of the line Hotel!! Pool area is wonderful for kidds and the hot tub is far enough away that you can enjoy it without the small children near by. Breakfast is good, plenty of seating but not enough room for food to avoid the long lines that form. You have to realize this is a very large Hotel and just opened in Feb. 2011, thus still on their learning curve. We are staying for 4 nights. First night gave us a room that was already occupied, however lady in housekeeping (sorry I did not get her name) promptly got "Mike" who moved all our luggage with GREAT customer service and a wonderful attitude. Our room was serviced not very well considering they did not leave us any reg coffee for the next morning, We called the front desk and they promptly brought us up "DECAF" coffee. Did not realize it until later. Once again I am sure they are still working out the kinks. Other than a few training issues it is a perfect place to stay!! So beautiful you think you are in a VERY expensive hotel, but rates here are average.

We spent one night here as we visited the Mall of America. It is right across the street so you can walk to it or take their shuttle that has frequent stops. The hotel has been totally remodeled recently so it is up to date in style.
Check in was quick and the staff was friendly. Our room was small but it was so nicely decorated that I did not care. The bedding was pretty and so inviting. There is a comfortable revcliner, a desk and both a microwave and a refrigerator. The TV is flat screen and 42". The bathroom is small, too. You really can't get 2 people in there comfortably. But it is so pretty. So who cares. There was plenty of hot water and good pressure. The bed was a pillow top so we all slept very well. It was quiet all night and we heard no planes from the nearby airport. This room was spotless
The pool is great. There is a small waterpark area just for young children and a regular pool and hot tub for older ones. It is a pleasure to see a pool area for the toddler at a hotel. They usually get ignored. They have a small fitness room and a few video games.
Breakfast was average. They did not keep up to well with some of the food. They have a hot offering but for this morning it was bad. The stuff was barely warmed. They have waffles which are good but the line was long. Otherwise they ran out of pastries and fruit.
I will definitely go here again if I need to be at the Mall of America.

Room Tip: Ask for the side away from the airport runway.

They have definitely turned a lump of coal into a diamond! I stayed here many years ago when it was formerly a Days Inn and to say it is a night and day difference would be an understatement! I did read the positive reviews on here prior to our stay and I can say I had the same great, positive experience.

I too thought of Best Western properties as more of a basic style hotel chain with standard "hotel" decor and amenities. But they really did a great job with this hotel and nothing is standard or basic! The lobby is very nice and the check-in was very quick. Off the lobby they have a small shop with sodas, drinks, floaties etc and the breakfast area is also very close. The first impression of the room was simply wow, this is really nice! We had a poolside room on the first floor with 2 queen beds, the bedding was gorgeous and the color scheme was very fresh and modern--tan, brown, black. Top it off with large 42 inch LCD TV, in room fridge/microwave, large desk and a large bathroom with beautiful tiled floor/walls and granite countertops. The bathroom was also very well lit with lights above the tub/shower which was very nice!

Having a poolside room was AWESOME! Had a very large sliding glass door that led out to a pretty decent sized patio with small table and chairs and then two steps down to the pool area. There are plenty of lounge chairs and tables with chairs around the pool area. Three pools total--a kids water play area with pirate ship slide and lots of spray features and dump buckets and it was pretty large too with zero entry. Then they have a large regular pool and a large whirlpool. The layout of the pool area was great!

The morning breakfast was good-make your own waffles, various breads/pastries, yogurt, cereals and juices. The full service restaurant is still under construction and slated to open in the summer I think but there are many other options near by. The Mall of America is litterally right across the street and a few blocks down the road is a TGI Friday's, IHOP and Chevy's Tex-Mex. The hotel does offer complementary shuttles to/from the mall and airport.

We have stayed at the Radisson/Waterpark of America and the Country Inn and Suites and I enjoyed this hotel better. Definitely a better value than the Radisson since you don't have to pay for the waterpark passes and much nicer than the Country Inn and Suites. Plus the convenience and great layout with poolside rooms was perfect! We definitely will be staying again.

Room Tip: Request poolside, first floor if possible

Overall, we had a wonderful time at this resort. Best Western, great design. We will stay again if the hotel is maintained very well!

The kids couldn't get enough of the pool area. They were in the pool every minute we were in the hotel. It was a great way to break up the day vs. being at Mall of America 100% of the time.
The hotel is only a 5 min. walk from the Mall of America South Entrace, so very efficient. Keep in mind, the hotel also has a free shuttle, which we also used.
The hotel is new, so everything looks really super nice.
Breakfast = Was good for a continental. Yogart, Bagels, Cereal, Waffles and mini sausage sandwiches. Juice and Coffee
Fitness Center = Brandnew equipment. 2 treadmills, 2 elliptical and weigh machine.
Pool Area = Zero Debt pool for toddlers, bigger pool for older children and adults and also a whirlpool.
Poolside = Request Poolside if you have kids. It is so great! They run back and forth from the pool to the patio.
Hotel Room = Looks very nice. The beds, however weren't that comfortable. I have slept on a lot softer beds in hotels.

A couple cons, but don't let them discourage you:
1) Beds not very soft, so didn't get the best night's sleep.
2) The pool doesn't shutdown at 10:00pm as stated, so don't expect to fall asleep before 11:30. They do have room that aren't poolview or poolside, so then you wouln't hear the pool noise.
3) The front desk gave us copied coupans for $4 of the unlimited rides at MOA, however the front desk at MOA said they can only take one, so don't get your expectations up.

This hotel was an excellent choice for our weekend trip with our two young kids! Our 2 yr old and 3.5 yr old absolutly LOVED the hotel and pool! The zero depth entry, slide, and water features were a huge hit and they are still talking about how much fun they had at the "waterpark". The children's pool max depth is 2'-0" deep. The pool area was always nice and warm with excellent lighting. The hotel rooms are very nice; everything is brand new! Breakfast was great. Within walking distance to the mall. We all loved this hotel and were disappointed to leave!

Wow! What a great hotel! First, this hotel is literally right across the street from the MOA. Very convenient! (They still offered a shuttle service! That was nice!) The hotel is new and modern. The rooms were nicely appointed with comfy beds, a mini fridge/freezer and a massive television. Breakfast was accomodating (bagels, waffles, donuts, yogurt, cereal, etc.) and there were always fresh cookies waiting for us upon our return from the mall each day. The kids loved the pool. All the staff we encountered (housekeeping, Becky, Clair, Tim, Victor and Randy) were all very friendly and helpful. During our visit, the hotel's restaurant was not yet opened, but there is a Friday's, IHOP and Chevy's all within walking distance. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definately choose this hotel again.
