We were there for a conference..hotel had just been bought-opened under doubletree name the day before arriivial. Checkin was a mess, had to change rooms a few times becaues rooms werent clean. I think they could have planed the takeover a bit better. We waited over 1 2/2 hours for dinner and had to leave before it arrivied. On the positive side, someone found my sons I touvh and turned it in.

I stayed at the Doubletree last Saturday and was very disappointed. The only positive comment I have is about the fitness center, which is well-appointed and accessible 24/7. Otherwise, the most salient feature of the hotel was the poor shape it was in. In particular, the carpeting in almost every part of the hotel has stains....everywhere. The toilets in the rooms are like the ones in public restrooms, and the bathrooms are fairly small. The shower head is very low in the shower, and I'm a short person! If you are looking for a great hotel in the area, stay at the Crowne Plaza just up the road. Very clean, updated, and less expensive!

Room Tip: Would recommend staying at Crowne Plaza. Book through the hotel's website rather than a 3rd party and you may get a surprise upgrade!

We were there for a conference. The hotel had been sold and the computer system was being changed over over from a Sheraton to a Doubletree the day we arrived. This caused long delays in checking in the hotel. The staff apologized and did their best to make people comfortable while the computer system was being repaired.
On the whole, we enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Other than our initial problem of checking in, the service and cleanliness were good. The rooms were a bit noisy though.
Just a few minutes from Mall of America & Airport.

Pros: Conveniently located between DT Minneapolis and the airport/Mall of America area. Huge/nice pool, hot tub, and gym. Comfy beds, nice flat screen, free internet, free parking.

Cons: Common areas were clean, there was some dirty areas around the ceiling and A/C vent though.

Other: Internet was slow (but free). Hotel was having trouble with computer system due to literally changing over from a Sheraton to a Doubletree the day we arrived. The staff was friendly, and apologetic though.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. We appreciate your feedback as well as your understanding during our transition. All systems are a go and our check-in/out system is up and running efficiently.

We hope to see you soon. There are a lot of new and exciting things happening at our hotel and it’s not just the warm chocolate chip cookie you receive upon check-in. New menus, redesign of public space. We are creating a whole new look and feel to go with our new brand in the coming months.
