This place is located in the Mall of America but not in one of the food courts. I called it a French place only because it is a creperie and crepes are supposedly of French origin. It was time for my wife and I to take a midday break from shopping. We weren't starved or anything so we shared some food. We first split a savory crepe called the Santa Fe: chicken with black beans, corn, sour cream and salsa - very good. We also split a Coke. Then we shared a sweet crepe: one with strawberries, whipped cream and ice cream. Yummy. $16.05 was the total. And it hit the spot.

Visited MOA last wk, had a crepe 2 days in a row, omg they are awesome!!!!! Cinnamon, sugar & banana! It's just way too bad that probably nothing close to this fast food crepe stand exists in NC.... That makes me soooo sad 'cause the Magic Pan Crepe Stand is awesome! We did go to this other crepe place last night here in Cary, NC - no comparison whatsoever! Just have these crepes whenever you visit MOA - please!

So one day I was just wandering around MOA and it was getting late in the day and I was getting hungry. So I decided to have a crepe, I'd never had one and the whole idea of it sounded odd to me.

I decided on the caramel one and oh my goodness I was completley in awe. The taste isn't describable, they are that good. Easily one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten.

Since then I've been to the state fair, ihop, and even this place in charleston sc to see if they compare, definitely not. The magic pan prepares them right in front of you and they are fresh and warm when they get to you.

For the best crepes you've ever had come here. I've converted many people to crepe-ism and they all agree, it's that good.

While on a visit to MOA we happened upon the Magic Pan Crepe Stand. I was in heaven as I am a big fan of crepes. And sure, I know you can get crepes at places like IHOP or La Madeleine, but usually there's only a couple limited types. The Magic Pan has both savory and sweet crepes available and each day there's a featured special. My favorite is the apple crepe that is covered in caramel sauce. The last time I had as good a crepe was at the Paris Casino in Las Vegas. If you're a fan of crepes, and visiting the MOA, then definitely stop by and sample their crepes. Service is fast. There is limited seating at about 10-12 tables in front of the stand. Otherwise, they can pack your crepe/s in a covered container to go and you can eat upstairs in the food court. Happy eating!

BTW, if you're a Seinfeld fan you'll know that one episode featured a family that owned a chain of restaurants called The Magic Pan and they sold crepes. It was nice to see that such a chain actually existed! Great Seinfeld memories ...
