“It's a Mall”
Reviewed August 15, 2009

My sister had a burning desire to go here and spend a day so we went. It's a great attraction if you have young children with you because it does have a fun amusement park inside which operates year round. It also has an overpriced aquarium in the "basement" of the Mall which is fine for young children.

But for adults and teens, this is just a really big mall. If you have an older or handicapped person with you who needs to use an electric scooter they are available for rent for $30! We were surprised they weren't free. If you love to shop this is the place for you. But if shopping is only a so-so activity for you, drop your shoppers off and go to a museum or a film instead.

“Best way we've EVER passed time.”
Reviewed August 10, 2009

We had a long wait between flights and headed to the mall which is near the airport. The amusement park is NOT JUST FOR KIDS. There are several roller coasters with plenty of thrill. They twist and go upside down multiple times and are fast. One unique coaster had teacup like spinning seats, Crazy! And there was an amazing huge rope climbing thing, where people walked up several stories through rope mazes and bridges and I wish I had a picture! It was wild and took quite a while to get through. You are wearing a harness throughout, and at the top you can walk a plank to the edge and everyone looked freaked out who did it. It was really fun to watch. People said it was scary even though you're harnessed in, it was a constant state of I might fall, and you keep going higher and higher. Fantastic contraption idea! My husband is 6'5'' and had a Great time riding the rides. We ate funnel cake and Johnny Rockets is right upstairs. The mall is HUGE, and prices are absolutely normal, sales EVERYwhere you go. I don't understand the comments that prices were higher than other malls. It's not a high end mall, but they have everything you could imagine. Parking is covered and labeled for easy parking spot finding later. The American Girl store with restaurant is a little girls dream. Wonderful idea!

“Love to shop!”
Reviewed July 30, 2009

The Mall of America is a great place to splurge and have fun shopping. However it can be too big and the store choices aren't specialty like they used to be. I don't usually find any great deals there but like the different selections from where I live. I did get to see Elvis perform so that was fun!

“Cool Place To Go”
Reviewed July 29, 2009

I went to the MOA a year ago and hope to go back in May. I was only there for a couple of hours, but liked it a lot. The food choices were good and i enjoyed a nice meal in the Food Court. When it came to the shopping, there wasnt very many stores that i had never heard of. That was ok because i like the stores they had. I never got to ride any of the rides, but i will when i go back.
Can't wait to go back! :)

“Destination to see....whether you shop or not!!”
Reviewed July 24, 2009

This isn't where one would go to "shop" on a regular basis, but it is a fine celebration of a free market economy & modern technology! The indoor amusement park is worth the trip in & of itself. Also, make sure you see the Lego fun zone with giant animals & other figures made of Legos! The Lego interactive store was also a great place to pick up 1/2 price Lego keychains as small souvenirs. Bloomingdale's was VERY expensive, but like I said....it was more about the destination & not "shopping" for me. Remember where you park!!!!
