Comfortable outdoor seating close to the water and a picturesque panoramic view of Big Lake and its public swimming beach. I'd go back.

Very mediocre food and S-L-O-W service. They overbooked on Mother's Day weekend with only two servers. Took 3 hours and we were seated right away! It took over twenty minutes just for the appetizer and that was sooo average and skimpy! Nice lake view, but for the $125 we spent, you'd be better going somewhere else for much less. Restaurant Impossible would have a field day with this outdated restaurant and so-so food.

Our party of six (myself/wife/daughter/son in law/two granddaughters) met at Russell's for dinner on 4/28/13. Had heard it was good but were somewhat disappointed. Ambiance is nice, waitress was pleasant (although made a couple order misstakes), but the food was mediocre at best. Salad bar OK, steak was tough and undercooked (ordered medium rare but came rare), ribs were dry with ho-hum sauce. They really need to improve the food.

Stopped in after having driven past this restaurant numerous times. Were seated immedaitely for dinner. Very good service. Average food. Husband ordered a chicken meal and stated it was tough. How do you make tough chicken?! I had the reuben which was average - at best. It was served open-faced and had two slices of corned beef on each side. The meat was not chewy though. Son ordered the chicken alfredo. Said it was good. Would stop in again, but not make a special trip. Again, the server was good and very attentive.

Four of us dined here at Christmas time, and it was beautifully decorated. There is a huge tree in the atrium, as one enters the establishment. There are many quaint and beautifully decorated rooms, each with a Christmas tree. I hear the view of Big Lake is very nice, although we dined on a winter evening. Service was over the top! I would recommend the Spinach Artichoke Dip if you are looking for a good appetizer! This is a wonderful place for a special occasion, or any time!
