“A gem for Bemidji”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

Lake Bemidji State Park has wonderful walking trails. There are enough trails to choose from that you can often feel it's your private sanctuary. The Bog walk is a favorite, as well as the trail to Sundew Pond. Biker's have a beautiful paved trail to enjoy. A playground was added a few summers ago. On Sundays during the summer there's live music in the amphitheater. Don't miss this park! Lucky me - I live within walking distance of it!

“Wonderful beach for families”
Reviewed July 9, 2013

With fishing and boating the common pastimes in this area, and cold cold cold water this late in the season, nice public swimming beaches were really hard for us to find. This park is a winner!

“Go to Bog Lake - It was pretty cool”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

This is very nice park on the bike trail. Go to the bog. It is very interesting if you are into botany. It is worthy of your time to check out if you are in Bemidji.

“Went for the showy lady slipper flowers - beautiful park!”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

Lady slipper flowers peaking (a bit later this year due to weather) drew us to this park with its tamarack bogs where they thrive. The bog trail and walk are beautiful, peaceful and fragrant (easy for most all levels), and the lady slippers exceeded expectation. The park offered trails for hiking and bicyclists, large Lake Bemidji for swimming, well maintained buildings for groups, etc. We would definitely go back for a visit. The lady slipper byway is also about 20 miles from here up hwy 39 for more viewing of the state flower.

“A true Gem on the N. side of Lake Bemidji!”
Reviewed June 21, 2013

Easy to get to, nice bike ride around the lake of about 17 miles or just ride around the park and stop at Ruttgers for a meal.
