Would go back! Nice lake views, clean, comfortable bed and the staff was great. TV was a 19 inch screen if that is a priority for you, didn't bother us. The Breakfast was unique. Noisy radiators would be my only complaint.

We found Cove Point through an ad in a travel guide and were thrilled when we got to the property. The lodge has a great location right on the shore of Lake Superior, and though the property is "newer" it has the feel of an old lodge. Our room was clean, comfortable, and spacious and also had a lovely view of the lake. We enjoyed dinner both in the main lodge dining room and the more casual pizza/sandwich shop on the property. Since we were staying in the main lodge building we also received a complimentary breakfast buffet in the dining room. The front desk staff was friendly and knowledgeable and the public areas of the building comfortable and attractive. We definitely plan to return to Cove Point on our next visit to the North Shore.

We spent last weekend at Cove Point, in a room at the Lodge. The Lodge is lovely, nicely decorated and meticulously maintained. The property is right on the edge of Lake Superior and the views are expansive. The pool, hot tub, great room fireplace, bonfire on the shore - all good. Free breakfast buffet, free wi-fi. Breakfast is good but not a lot of variety day to day.

One word of warning - the hike to the Cove Point Loop on the Superior Hiking Trail is long and difficult. The loop is about 6 miles but the beginning of the loop is a couple of miles from the Lodge so the total hike is 10+ miles. It's a difficult trail with a lot of rock climbing on fairly steep slopes. Good hiking shoes or boots are essential. Pay attention to the mileage sign at the beginning of the trail (we didn't!) and decide how much you want to cover. The last part of the loop is especially long and difficult. At one point the trail simply stopped. We finally figured out we had to climb up about 10 ft of rocks, straight up.

Wonderful place. The decor is very well done. Modern yet rustic. Most importantly we will visit again due to their staff and cleanliness. Everyone was very inviting and friendly. However Liz at reception clearly goes above and beyond to make sure the guests have the best experience possible.

We arrived on a stormy, windy night! The waves slapping up on the shore was awesome to listen to and watch from our room! The room was clean and the staff was very nice. Breakfast was great and you have a great view of the lake from the breakfast area. They have Adirondack chairs to sit on and watch the lake from the shore...very beautiful! We would definitely recommend this place to stay!

Very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. From the Lodge fireplace, to the Jacuzzi, to the bonfire (complete with all the fixings for smores) it was very relaxing. Very easy to get to many different activities. The continental breakfast was a great Scandinavian breakfast complete with pickled herring! Awesome!! We ate at both the Crossings Pub and the diningroom in the Lodge - both excellent meals. Many areas of Adirondack chairs for sitting and enjoying the lake. Also, a cool (used to be) Fish house for playing games, reading or just having coffee or cocktails and watching the lake. I would go back anytime! My husband wants to be there during a "noreaster" to watch the waves............. fun place!

It was so wonderful to enjoy Cove Point Lodge again as part of a solo journey for fall hiking on the North Shore of Lake Superior. Had spent many years there with my family when our son was young and it worked so well for us then, especially since it is fully ADA wheelchair accessible and my husband could easily use the entire facility and grounds. Back again on my own many years later, it is just as ideal and enjoyable. Great staff (who accommodated me in spite of my reservation error), clean and well maintained rooms with big windows facing the lake, amazing on-site restaurant with unexpected quality in food and wine. Had a great one night stay and looking for dates to go back soon.
